Tab Talks is an event series conceived in cooperation with Burg Hülshoff – Center for Literature, which focuses on the influence of digital tools on writing process of literature. In a mixture of studio visit and workshop presentation, writers are invited to share the screen of their work computers and thus provide insights into the software they use, into workflows and file organizations - and talk about research material in browser tabs left open.
Each event is streamed live as a Zoom meeting as well as documented and commented upon in a live twitter feed by Son Lewandowski. The Tab Talks zine series collects all tweets for each event and publishes them alongside ephemeral material like screenshots or start and end screens to create analog ways of archiving in addition to the available VODs, as well as open up the series for offline modes of follow-up communication.
